So I’ll be spending 4 months in Japan starting from the 1st of March. I thought it would be great if there was a place I can spam my pics and write about where I’ve gone and what I’ve done. So here it is.

At the moment I’ve got the visa all sorted, and travel arrangements all booked. I’ll probably be spending a couple of weeks in Tokyo to start. A really helpful guy mentioned they know a moving company that I could possibly get some work at, which will help me gather a bit more cash. I’m going to have to do some pretty intense budgeting if I want to last the whole 4 months.

After Tokyo, I’ll probably spend a week around the Fuji area. Then I’ll head to Minobu where I possiblly have secured a job at a temple lodging for two or three weeks. I’m told the hours are long and the pay is low, but there will be quiet days for me to explore the Yamanashi prefecture. Plus I think I’ll be fed too, so I can save some more of my cash there. Really looking forward to that.

Then after that, no plans of yet. The helpful guy told me that he never makes plans in advance. He sets a destination then freestyles his way there, which sounds pretty exciting. He’ll also be working at the temple lodge at the same time, so it would be great to meet him again (we met last year when my family stayed at the same lodge on holiday).
