Iidabashi
Only a couple of quick shots to take here. Thanks to Surwill for his post on crunchyroll, since I had to resort to his handy custom google map to find these ones. I also made my own custom google map which builds upon Will’s, and has many more spots too. Maybe I’ll link to it when it’s finished.
This is where Kotarou gets off the train to go to the publishing office that he’s called to.
The first shot was real easy to find and was right outside the station exit.
The next shot was real close just up the road on the bridge.
Strangly, the fact that Kotarou is walking behind the barrier implies that he’s walking in the middle of the road. Watch out for this bloke, he’s dangerous.
I didn’t bother with the rest of the journey as most of the shots where of plain buildings with no background, and I didn’t want to worry the receptionists inside the building that I’d’ve had to enter.
From here I went back into Iidabashi station and made my way up to Kawagoe on the Tobu Tojo line.
A bit of a diversion, but a mobile game I used to play religiously in my train-addiction days called “Train Drive ATS” is based on this line. I didn’t realise at first, but I noticed the trains on the line were oddly familiar. Then when I realised why I recognised them I had another holy shit moment.
