Kawagoe City
Around the corner is Kurazukuri Street, where a lot of the Anime takes place in and around. Kawagoe is famous for having many edo-era style Japanese buildings, and is nicknamed “Koedo” meaning “Little Edo”. Kurazukuri has lots and lots of these buildings, and is where all the shops and food stands are.
This shot is where the float that Kotarou is on exits from the Kumano Shrine, and passes by a second time later in the evening.

Further down the street there’s this shot at the intersection. Note the building under construction in the anime is completed now.

Next I stopped by the Cram school which was just down the road. I was halfway through taking pictures when I realised it would be better if I waited for it to get dark for better comparison shots. I headed back to the guest house to check in, do some more planning and have some rest after all that walking around.
