I’m writing this introduction after the Lake Motosu/Shizuoka leg. Since these trips are probably going to span across a couple weeks, I’m going to write this as I go along. Most people that I’ve read on the internet have done their Yuru Camp pilgrimages with a car, which is definitively the most efficient way of doing it. But I don’t have the money to hire a car. So I’ve challenged myself to do it all backpacking. Taking the bus and train where I can, and hiking where I can’t. This has, and will definitely be more difficult than the Tsuki Ga Kirei pilgrimage, since the spots are waaaayyyyy further apart from each other, instead of all being in one city. While I will of course do all the comparison shots and write lots about each spot I visit, I’ll also write about the journeys in between them. Use the links below to jump to the spots that you’re interested in, or go to the next page and read it all in chronological order. I’m going to visit Lake Shibire, Matsumoto and the place with the doggy shrine further down the line. There’ll be a link to that too once it’s done. Enjoy 🙂
